STOCKS TO WATCH- FEB 10 Friday - Aurobindo Pharma, BoI, BPCL, Cairn India, SAIL, Tata Steel

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd:

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd., the drugmaker, will be in focus after it posted a 6.29% rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 5.79 billion for the third quarter ended Dec 2016. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 5.44 billion during the same period of previous fiscal.

Brigade Enterprise Ltd:

Brigade Enterprise Ltd., the real-estate developer, will be in focus after it announced its three day mega fest from 10th to 12th Feb, 2017. The three-day event will showcase company's 30 offerings across 6 cities in South India.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL):

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., the oil marketing company, will be in focus after it posted a 47% rise in net profit at Rs 22.72 billion for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2016 against Rs 15.45 billion in the corresponding quarter last year.

Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Co Ltd:

Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Co Ltd., the flagship company of the Wadia Group, will be in focus after it reported narrowing of net loss to Rs 529.7 million for the third quarter ended Dec 31, 2016. Bombay Dyeing had posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 781.5 million in the same period last fiscal.

Cairn India Ltd:

Cairn India Ltd., the oil and gas exploration and producer, will be in focus after it registered nearly 15-fold jump in net profit for the Dec quarter of the current fiscal, mainly on account of higher crude oil prices. Net profit of Rs 6.04 billion in the Oct-Dec quarter was 1,376% higher than Rs 410 million in the same period a year back.

Hotel Leela Venture Ltd:

Hotel Leela Venture Ltd., the hotel chain operator, will be in focus after Airports Authority of India (AAI) said it has started the eviction process against company, which runs a five-star hotel on the plots of land leased to them near the Mumbai international airport. Besides, the national airports operator has started the proceedings to recover the dues.

Insecticides (India) Ltd:

Insecticides (India) Ltd., the agro-chemical firm, will be in focus after it reported a more than five-fold jump in profit at Rs 53.8 million for the quarter to Dec. Its net profit stood at Rs 10.2 million in the year-ago period.

JK Tyre& Industries Ltd:

JK Tyre& Industries Ltd., the tyre maker, will be in focus after it reported 22.33% decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 861.9 million for the third quarter ended Dec 31, 2016, dragged down by higher raw material prices. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 1.11 billion in the same period last fiscal.

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd:

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., the state-owned electric utilities company, will be in focus after it posted a 20% jump in standalone net profit at Rs 19.30 billion for the third quarter ended Dec 31, 2016, on the back of higher income. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 19.30 billion for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 16.06 billion for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2015.

Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd:

Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd., the broadband and telecommunications service provider, will be in focus after its loss widened to Rs 4.15 billion for the three months ended Dec 31, 2016 as compared with Rs 771.4 million in the same period of the previous year.

Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL):

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) Ltd., the India's largest steelmaker, will be in focus after its standalone net loss narrowed to Rs 7.95 billion for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2016, helped by higher gross sales. The company's standalone net loss in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal stood at Rs 14.81 billion.

Tata Steel Ltd:

Tata Steel Ltd., the second largest steel maker, will be in focus after it announced signing of definitive agreement with Liberty House Group for the sale of its Speciality Steels Business for total consideration of Pound 100 million.

Welspun India Ltd:

Welspun India Ltd., the largest terry towel maker, will be in focus after it announced that it has entered into strategic agreement with Cotton Egypt Association. The company propose to invest a sum of US$ 3 million in five years.

Earnings Today:

Bank of Baroda, Bosch, State Bank of India (SBI), Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Power Company will announce their financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 on Friday.
